Terms & Conditions
We request information from you to ensure we correctly fill orders, answer emails, and to ensure expedient delivery of your orders.
Credit Card: We offer SSL encryption security measures available through your browser, the industry standrard, to ensure that all your credit card transactions are processed with outmost respect for your safety concerns. Please NOTE that we do not get your credit card number; it goes to our WEB BANK provider and is only transferred to us as an approved transaction. We do not receive declined credit card transactions. Our current web bank is TD Canada Trust.
Personal Information: When you provide your personal information such as name, address, phone number and company name, our commitment to you, our customer, is that we will not give, transfer, or sell such information to anyone or any other outside company for use in marketing or solicitation. We reserve the right to provide the given information to the shipping company in order to ship the item to you. We reserve the right to use such information in order to be able to communicate more efficiently with our customers for reasons such as satisfaction surveys, problem solving, and pure status reports on orders. It has always been our practice to contact customers in the event of a potential problem, recall and/or follow-up orders.
Email: If you require a response to a question from figure8.ca in the form on an email, we require a valid email address in return. We also ask for your name, address, and phone number in case of an unforeseen technical difficulty.
Orders: Basic information required when placing an order with figure8.ca is as follows:
Name (given & surname as shown on credit card)
Email address (to be used to communicate order status)
Mailing address (to enable proper delivery of products ordered)
Phone number (to facilitate communications in case of technical difficulties)
Credit card number with valid expiry date (to process your orders). Please NOTE that orders that are not authorized are NOT transmitted to us, therefore there is no communication possible.
MUST CALL OR EMAIL TO GET A RETURN AUTHORIZATION
This authorization number must be displayed properly on outside of returned packaging. Please do not tape across or write directly on return item packaging.
New Regular Merchandise:
Any new regular merchandise purchased on figure8.ca or figure8.net can be returned for money back for a period of fourteen (14) days from date of receipt with a proper return authorization number. (Please note: There is a 20% re-stocking fee applied to returns; no re-stocking when it's an exchange, shipping is the customer's responsibility). Merchandise will only be accepted for return if item is unused and is in undamaged original carton and packaging. Customer must contact the order desk at email@example.com to communicate the reason why the item is being returned. After fourteen (14) days, before thirty (30), merchandise will only be accepted under the same conditions for a store credit given in the form of a gift card. Gift cards have no expiry date BUT must be provided at the time of next transaction (Please note: There is a 20% re-stocking fee applied to returns; no re-stocking when it's an exchange, shipping is the customer's responsibility). Take note that all gift cards are FINAL SALE no refund, no exception but can be redeemed for merchandise at our store. All items sold will be considered final sale after thirty (30) days.
Sale Items: All sale items will only be accepted for a store credit for a period of 30 days. Store credit will be given in the form of a gift card. Gift cards have no expiry date BUT must be provided at the time of next transaction. All sale items sold will be considered final sale after 30 days.
Defective returned items are exempt from the re-stocking fee and will be replaced with fourteen (14) days. Please note that manufacturer's warranty determines what is accepted as a defective product. Shipping fees are the customer's responsibility.
Tights: The purchase of tights is considered a final sale. No return.
Defective merchandise will only be accepted for a replacement for a period of fourteen (14) days from receipt date.
INSTORE SKATE FITTING POLICY
Consultation fitting fee: $30.00 + HST is asked to be paid when customers are not purchasing. This fitting fee can be credited towards the purchase of a pair of new skates from Figure 8 within two (2) months of initial fit. CLEARLY STATED IT MEANS YOU DO NOT PAY ANY FEE WHEN YOU PURCHASE A PAIR OF SKATES THAT DAY or within two (2) months. This respects your right to choose where to buy but does not unfairly disadvantage Figure 8 for time spent fitting, researching and answering questions. We devote our time to fitting you properly, we have the right to be paid for that service if you decide not to purchase at Figure 8.
Used goods: All used goods sold are considered final sale. We accept skates that were purchased NEW originally from Figure 8 for re-sale. We reserve the right to select only skates that are in excellent condition. Selection varies depending on availability. CONSIGNMENT PERIOD: We accept skates for consignment from JULY 2nd to December 31st every year. Skates are accepted only for re-sale for a strict period of twelve (12) months. After which customers are expected to pick up their skates. In total, Figure 8 accepts the consigned skates for twenty-four (24) months and then customers pre-agree to donate the skates.
Final Sale: It means final sale, no return, no exchange, no refund.
NOTE: All freight charges and fees imposed on purchases by other entities are the responsibility of the purchaser (Including handling and/or duty is extra).
